I’m not a fan of switching from YUM to DNF (mostly because of this)

Gnome 3.16 notifications are quiet and get out the way quickly and in two days since I’ve installed not a single glitch. Google gmail and calendar sync runs well although I’d like to open the calendar to create a new entry from the notification dropdown.
